These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Campster, including the Campster mobile app, website, and related services. By using Campster, you agree to these Terms.

About Campster

Campster helps users discover campsites, browse campsite details, save favorites, create trips, and, where available, claim and manage campsite information. Campster is an early-stage product, so features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

Using the service

You may use Campster only for lawful personal or business purposes related to campsite discovery, trip planning, and campsite management. You are responsible for your device, internet connection, and any costs charged by your mobile provider or app store.

Campster is not an emergency, navigation, safety, weather, booking, or payment service. Always verify campsite availability, rules, prices, safety conditions, access routes, and local regulations directly with the campsite or relevant authorities before traveling.

Accounts and campsite claims

Some features may require an account or email verification. You must provide accurate information, keep your login details secure, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

If you claim a campsite, you confirm that you are authorized to represent or manage that campsite. We may ask you to verify access to a campsite email address, reject or remove claims, and revoke owner access if we believe a claim is inaccurate, unauthorized, or abusive.

Campsite information

Campster uses public and third-party sources, including open map data, public campsite information, media providers, and official campsite websites. We work to present useful information, but campsite data may be incomplete, outdated, incorrect, or unavailable.

If Campster lets you submit updates, reports, photos, reviews, or other content, you must have the rights to share that content and it must be accurate, lawful, respectful, and free from malware or harmful material. You grant Campster permission to use submitted content to operate, improve, display, and promote the service.

Saved trips and local data

Favorites, want-to-go lists, recent searches, and trips are currently stored locally on your device. They may be lost if you delete the app, clear app data, change devices, or restore without a backup. Campster is not responsible for lost local planning data.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse Campster, interfere with the service, scrape or copy data at scale, attempt to bypass security, impersonate another person or campsite, submit misleading information, infringe intellectual property rights, or use Campster in a way that violates law or harms others.

App stores and third-party services

Downloads through Apple App Store or Google Play may also be governed by the terms and policies of those stores. Campster may rely on third-party services for hosting, email delivery, app distribution, mapping data, and media sources. Those third parties may have their own terms and policies.

Intellectual property

Campster, the Campster name, interface, logos, code, and original content are owned by Campster or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works from Campster except as allowed by law or with written permission.

Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of Campster at any time. We try to keep the service useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or continued support for every device, operating system, or region.

Disclaimers and liability

Campster is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Campster will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or travel-related losses, including lost bookings, lost data, lost profits, or costs caused by inaccurate campsite information or unavailable services.

Termination

You may stop using Campster at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Campster or other users, or used the service unlawfully.

Governing law

Unless mandatory local law gives you other rights, these Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Courts in the Netherlands will have jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws require another forum.
